蘋果公司行政總裁特努斯（John Ternus）早前接受外媒訪問時表示，蘋果將以用家體驗為優先，而非急於在人工智能（AI）領域取得領先位置，並明言公司不會因為AI而「為做而做」（We don’t want to ship AI for AI’s sake）。
報道指，蘋果近年一直被批評在AI領域中落後，尤其是語音助手Siri的發展緩慢，在今年夏季才發布AI版Siri，被認為已被競爭對手拋離。對於蘋果在AI方面落後，特努斯表示「每個人都有自己的看法」（everyone has an opinion），又強調「非常滿意目前公司狀況。」（I really like where we’re at.）
特努斯指，蘋果會在新產品中應用AI，但不會「為做而做」，又強調若產品做得好，用家根本不會考慮產品是否應用AI技術。他又直言，「重點是我們是否打造出消費者真正喜愛的產品。」（What matters is, did we build something that they really love?）
